About Me
- In addition to being an attorney, I am a mom, a military wife, small business owner, legal writer, and active volunteer in my communities. I enjoy diverse music, reading a good book, watching movies with my family, creative projects, and taking walks. I play the piano, trombone, and tennis (and need to practice at all three). I am an animal lover and raise chickens for a hobby (and the eggs). I'm a pretty good cook and baker but sometimes dinner gets burned if I'm multitasking. I like being near the water--ocean, lake, or river. One day, I will learn to sail.

- Juris Doctorate (JD) from Creighton Law School (Omaha, Neb.)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wilmington College (Delaware)

- Licensed to practice law in New York.
- Also licensed in Nebraska (active) and Maryland (inactive) but I do not currently practice in those jurisdictions.
Business & Finance Experience
Business - In 2019, I started my law firm so that I could personally work with people in my community. As a small business owner myself, I understand the challenges and importance of planning for family and small business owners. With diverse experience in business and finance, I understand small business clients' needs when planning.
Real Estate Development & Financing - As the editor-in-chief and author of Construction Contracts Law Report and Mortgage & Real Estate Executives Report (published by Thomson Reuters), I stay current with changes in the real estate development and financing industries.
Commitment To Serving Others
Part of my commitment to serving others is done through my work as a volunteer in the community. I have served as a volunteer attorney in Buffalo City Housing Court providing help to tenants facing eviction. As a member of the New York State Bar Association, I serve on the Committee on Veterans to help facilitate educational programs on how to assist servicemembers and veterans in our communities. I also serve on non-profit boards for senior living facilities in Lancaster and on the board for the Niagara Military Affairs Council (Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station).

Why did I choose a heron for my logo?
The heron means to be self-reliant and productive as you walk your own path. It is known as a symbol of tranquility, determination, independence, and the ability to recognize opportunities. Some say it helps ground people in their spirituality and reveals emotional insights, which allows them to deal with uncertain situations and to think in unconventional ways. So, I chose the heron for my logo as a constant reminder and motivator to continue to strive to be the best person that I can be as I walk my own path.
